I joined the BBC Radio team last year to update their mobile offering as it hadn't been looked at since 2006 (apart from Radio 1 & 1Extra). I lead a small team of myself and a recent trainee designer through concept, wireframes and visuals to look at updating the designs to help the users navigate the radio networks more simply and bring a stronger visual 'appy' style to the pages. The designs also had to be responsive, as they needed to work across the many mobile platforms, ranging from the high end market of 480px, right down to the lowest at just 176px.
